:: WELCOME TO TEACHING FOR THOSE WHO DESIRE
GOD!
If you are seeking God, you have come to the right place. Humility Matters: For Practicing the Spiritual Life and the other books featured here are for those who desire God.
Desiring God is prayer. Teachings from the monastic sources nourish our heart’s
desire.
This site provides a “home” for contemplatives (lay and monastic) to extend
this dialogue with like-minded souls, sound teachings and retreat opportunities
to experience the presence of God in everyday life. The teachings are all from our shared Christian Tradition.

The author is Sister Mary Margaret Funk, OSB. She is a member of
Our Lady of
Grace Monastery in Beech Grove, Indiana. After many
years of teaching prayer and spirituality she has written books that retrieve,
reclaim and reappropriate the early teaching of the desert elders on the
monastic tradition for contemporary contemplatives.
This site intends to extend the dialogue from the teachings in the Books,
presentations and retreats. We hope to gather like-minded souls who want to
implement these contemplative practices in their lives. Meg’s catechetical
background, scholarship in early Christian studies, and
East-West dialogue provides
a broad forum to provide a discerning voice in our intercultural context for
seeking God.
